This is the first Bible Study Update of this academic year and God is ready to release an abundance of revelation that will catapult you into a new level spiritually, socially and materially. I believe that this is a time of promotion. Revelation is being released to the entire body of Christ in this end-time which has been hidden from the generations before us. There is no better time to be alive than now and no better place to be than to receive revelation from a time-tested and God approved ministry such as this one. I believe that God’s apostles and prophets are now standing ready and receiving final orders from the great Captain of our salvation, Jesus Christ, before releasing the final weapons that are needed to equip the believers in the church world-wide for the final end-time harvest. “Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is NOW REVEALED unto his holy APOSTLES and PROPHETS by the Spirit” (Ephesians 3:5).
This semester we are going to hold weekly meetings in room A5 Mary Stuart hall (Box) which is a God-given venue where the Holy Ghost shall manifest in all His fullness. The time is just right and meetings will be held every Tuesday from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. The venue is located conveniently on the ground floor for the benefit of all those who resent climbing the unending stairs in Box. There is no better place to be on this campus than in the fellowship of believers at the right time. God desires for you to be groomed and prepared for the work of the ministry and He has ordained for you to be a member of this great Bible Study to fulfill your heavenly mandate and assignment. The Kingdom of God is a place of giving and receiving. When you receive something good it is imperative for you to share it with others. That is why I charge and encourage you to bring along a friend or two as you come for these life-transforming meetings. “He (Andrew) first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messiah, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. And he brought him to Jesus” (John 1:41-42). God expects you to bring people to Jesus and to Jesus’ representatives on the earth.
I remember just as if it were yesterday when we started our first long-running Bible Study meeting in CCE hall in the recess term of 2001/2002. That time I was a member of the Makerere University Christian Union committee and during the recess term I was the Outreach Secretary and overseer of Jerusalem (the gentlemen’s hall, Nkrumah) and Judea (the ladies’ hall, CCE) fellowships. Every week we had outreaches that would alternate between Nkrumah and CCE, we also had an outreach to Mulago hospital in conjunction with the medical fellowship. That week the outreach was in CCE and come time for door-to-door I was moving with the grandpa of Lumumba fellowship, Aliku Twalib. We reached one of the rooms on the ground floor of the CCE main block and discovered that many of the ladies in that room were born again so we encouraged them in the Word of God and shared with them concerning the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We promised to return another time and continue to share concerning the same topic. I believe it  was a Tuesday when we had the outreach and on Thursday I came back with another brother, Arinaitwe Moses (also called to be an apostle and who is currently the Papa of MUCU) with whom we continued to share the word to these sisters and expounded more concerning the baptism of the Holy Spirit. At the end of the sharing session Moses laid hands on them to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and all the five members present received the baptism with the initial physical evidence of speaking with tongues. Most of the members of that room were recently converted to Christ and were coming out of the Roman Catholic cult. We started having meetings together with them once a week on Tuesdays in the Senior Common Room of CCE. At the same time we had a second Bible Study running in another room in CCE. However the second Bible Study never progressed beyond the recess term. With time we came to find out that some of the sisters in the first Bible Study group were from Africa hall and we thus were able to continue the meetings in their room the next semester. The Bible Study was held weekly in Africa hall under my leadership and continued for the space of two years. Within these two years the sisters who were part of this ministry rapidly grew in their salvation and consequently became international evangelists. During the semester we would have outreaches to different halls on campus together with the members of the Bible Study to places such as Livingstone, CCE, Africa, Box and Sir. Pinto hostel. The crowning of the exploits accomplished in the kingdom of God by these formerly baby Christians was a mission to Rwanda under “Caring Mission Ministry” where they were preaching the gospel in Churches, Schools and Universities. There was no better foundation for these women of God than the foundation  prescribed in the Bible, “And are built upon the FOUNDATION OF THE APOSTLES AND PROPHETS, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone” (Ephesians 2:20). Once the apostolic foundation was established in their lives, they stopped living in the realm of defeat and entered into the realm of victory. They are now no longer fearful but are bold ministers who know their authority in Christ and are excelling in life.
The Bible Study later continued in Livingstone hall for the space of one year and expanded to include many other individuals majorly form Africa and Livingstone halls though visitors from Akamwesi and Kasamba hostels were present. All the former members of the Bible Study apart from the current Mama, Jacque Nampeera have completed campus and are living victoriously in the field. A monthly meeting for the former campus Bible study members exists and the venue rotates among various individual’s homes or places of residence. The last meeting was held on Saturday 10th September in Grand Hostel with the next slated for Saturday 8th October in Sir. Pinto Girl’s Hostel room BF12 at exactly 5pm. This ministry is very dynamic and caters for individuals in all capacities, whether in the field or on campus. I believe that the process of discipleship does not unexpectedly end when one finishes campus and starts working or investing. God desires for you to enjoy continued sonship or daughtership whether you are on or off campus. Remember the word that Paul spoke to his son Timothy, “Unto Timothy, my own SON IN THE FAITH: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Timothy 1:2), “For this cause have I sent unto you Timothy, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church” (1 Corinthians 4:17).
God spoke to me specifically about establishing a Bible Study ministry in Box and He gave me the purpose for it. This what the Lord said, “Raise up God’s daughters who will leave footprints in the sands of time. Take them from milk to meat.” That is exactly what He said and I believe that none of the words which God speaks shall return to Him void, but they shall accomplish the exact purpose for which He sent them, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall NOT return unto me VOID, but it shall ACCOMPLISH that which I please, and it shall PROSPER in the thing whereto I sent it”(Isaiah 55:11). Whether it is God’s written or spoken word, it shall surely be fulfilled and prosper in the specific assignment for which it was sent. God desires to take you as an individual into the fullness of your inheritance, which means that you will have to graduate from milk to meat, “For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat” (Hebrews 5:12). God expects you to be a teacher by this time in your spiritual walk and as we join hands in this Bible Study ministry, I know God will lift you up and take you to the next level of glory through His Spirit. The spiritual famine in your life can only be filled with the spiritual meat of God’s word. You have lived on milk long enough, you are too old to be seen on your mother’s breast, grow up! “For every one that useth milk is unskillfull in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil” (Hebrews 5:13-14). As long as you remain on milk you are still a baby, but when your teeth develop to start grinding the meat, then you know that you have matured.  Through the apostolic anointing I believe that every yoke of “unskillfullness in the word of righteousness” shall be destroyed from off your life. It is now your time to step out into the liberty and victory that rightly belongs to you. God has given me that specific mandate to equip you so that you may make a lasting impact in the Kingdom of God while you are still on this earth. You do not need to wait till you reach heaven before you can work exploits for God, it is simply when you come to know Him through the Word that you can step out to make footprints in the sands of time and leave a mark which can not be erased, “…but the people that do KNOW THEIR GOD shall be strong, and DO EXPLOITS”(Daniel 11:32). When revelation from the Word of God shall illuminate your spiritual eyes, you will become unstoppable and shall take your part in the inheritance that God has prepared for you. The knowledge and revelation that you shall receive through this ministry will not just stop at theoretical musings from a grey-haired professor who just transfers notes from his book to yours but rather we are going to do exploits for God with this revelation both in Box and beyond. Those who are blessed are not just the hearers of the word but the doers, so if you are expecting to stretch out your legs and get all nice and cozy, you are in for a surprise. “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but A DOER OF THE WORK, this man shall be BLESSED in his deed” (James 1:25). God expects you to be a doer of the work and that is when the blessing shall be released. Together we are going to claim our share in Jesus’ inheritance and turn this campus and the nations upside down for Jesus. We are going on an exciting journey from failure into victory, from fear into boldness, from slavery into liberty, from poverty into prosperity, from sickness into health and from death into life. All you have to do now is buckle up your seatbelt and get ready for the spiritual ride of your life!
