A short while back I was engaged in open air evangelism at Entebbe. A little boy of about 6 years came close to where we were preaching from and the first words that come out of his mouth were “Corona Virus”. The world has been engulfed and inundated by the fame or is it the infamy of Corona Virus also known as Covid-19. As a born again Christian your foundation and world view has to be viewed through the lens of the Word of God. No matter what anyone else declares about Corona Virus and how deadly it is, you should first get your Father’s say about it from the Bible.

Someone asked me whether I am not bothered by the global Corona Virus pandemic. I replied that I am more “bothered” by what the Bible says than what the world or the secular media keeps rapping with their fear peddling. You are going to discover that as a believer you have dominion over the Corona Virus and any other pestilence or plague that may present itself. When everyone else is hiding under their beds, you will walk fear free because you have been delivered from perishing by God’s word that stands true in the face of every opposing voice. As Apostle Paul writes; “God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar…” (Romans 3:4). God’s word is superior to every fear laden satanic propaganda. Do not perish for lack of knowledge (Hos 4:6). Continue to read this publication and find out the reasons why faith filled believers all over the world including myself are living fear free and dominating instead of suffocating under the enemy’s assault.

Here are the 10 reasons why every born again Christian has dominion over the Corona Virus and any other pandemic that the devil may invent:

1. Because God gave man dominion over every living being on the planet.

Genesis 1:26
(26)  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and LET THEM HAVE DOMINION over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

God gave dominion to man in the very beginning over every living thing on planet earth. This dominion is also explicitly given over all the earth and over every microscopic creeping thing that includes bacteria, viruses and any other disease causing organism. Adam lost this dominion by sin and satan stole it, thus becoming the “god of this world” (2 Cor 4:4). However Jesus Christ has restored this dominion to Christians since he became the last Adam (1 Cor 15:45). Whatever was lost by the first Adam was restored by the last Adam including the divine health that Adam walked in before the fall. Exercise your God given dominion over the Corona Virus and every other sickness today.

2. Because the healing power by the stripes of Jesus Christ belongs to you

1 Peter 2:24
(24)  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes YE WERE HEALED.

Jesus Christ not only took our sins and purchased forgiveness but he also received stripes or lashes on His back by which He took all our sicknesses. The healing exchange that Jesus performed is not something that is going to happen in the future but it is described in past tense since “ye WERE healed”. We ought to consider the release of our healing a done deal. You are not going to be healed of any pestilence next week or in the future, rather the healing already took place in the past. The only thing you have to do is to claim by faith the healing that rightfully belongs to you.

3. Because you are under the law of the Spirit of life

Romans 8:2
(2)  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

There are 2 laws at work in this world. The one being peddled by satan and his minions in the secular media is the law of sin and death. However as a believer you are under the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.

A man of God called John G. Lake, whose biography is recounted in the book “God’s Generals” by Roberts Liardon, illustrates this scripture graphically. Lake went as a missionary from America to South Africa in the 1910s. During the time he was in South Africa a deadly pandemic called the Bubonic Plague broke out in the nation and was killing thousands. Lake and a Dutch helper were picking the bodies of the plague victims and taking them for burial without any “protection”. They were burying 3 or 4 dead bodies in a grave because of the high mortality rate of the pandemic. A team of Doctors that was dispatched came and met Lake and asked him how he was able to handle these dead bodies of plague victims without “protective gear” yet the plague was contagious, unlike them who were dressed from head to toe in “protective gear” and masks. Lake told them that the power of God in him was killing off all the plague germs. He told the doctors to get a sample of foam from the lungs of a dead patient and place it on his hand while observing all this under the microscope. The Doctors picked the sample and indeed under the microscope saw that it was full of plague germs. The Doctors then placed the sample on Lake’s hand and to their amazement all the plague germs died instantly. Lake told them that what they were seeing was the law of the Spirit of life in operation!

4. Because divine health is part of the believer’s inheritance

Proverbs 3:1, 8
(1)  My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
(8)  It shall be HEALTH to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

God’s word is divine medicine or health to your entire body. The navel or umbilical cord represents the life support and nourishment from mother to child. Likewise the Word of God releases divine health to your entire being. It is God’s will for you to prosper and to walk in divine health just as your soul or mind prospers. Your walking in divine health is conditional upon renewing your mind with the healing promises of the Bible.

5. Because the same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead operates in you

Romans 8:11
(11)  But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Jesus Christ died on the cross at Calvary and his body spent 3 days in the tomb. However on the third day the Holy Spirit “dunamis” power raised or resurrected Jesus from the dead. If the Holy Spirit power can resurrect a dead body, do you think this power cannot crush a tiny virus called corona virus? As believers we have the same omnipotent Holy Spirit power pulsating through our spiritual being and thus we can crush any virus that stands in our way and also liberate those held in the clutches of pandemics.

6. Because the same Jesus Christ who healed in Bible times has not changed

Hebrews 13:8
(8)  Jesus Christ THE SAME yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

The power that Jesus Christ demonstrated on this earth 2000 years ago in healing, delivering and raising the dead has not changed a single bit. Jesus is still alive and lives inside of you as a child of God. The scriptures give us a sample of the ministry operation of Jesus Christ; “When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and HEALED ALL THAT WERE SICK” (Matthew 8:16). If Jesus could heal all the sick presented to Him, then through His church the same power can operate today. Let us not relegate God’s power to the “good old days” but demonstrate it in the right here and now!

7. Because Jesus Christ has commissioned you to walk in greater works of healing

John 14:12
(12)  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and GREATER WORKS THAN THESE shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

After hearing about the mighty works of Jesus Christ many are accosted by the satanically inspired thought that “Jesus could do all those miracles as a Son of God but I cannot walk in the same power as a mere mortal.” Purge that antichrist thought out of your mind and instead receive the revelation that as a believer in Jesus Christ you are expected to walk in greater works than Jesus Himself walked in during His earthly ministry. This includes walking in greater works of healing as well (1 Jn 4:17). After Jesus ascended to heaven He poured out the Holy Spirit upon the church to do greater works in this earth!

8. Because the signs of healing the sick by laying on of hands are granted to you

Mark 16:17-18
(17)  And THESE SIGNS shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
(18)  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall LAY HANDS ON THE SICK, AND THEY SHALL RECOVER.

I am puzzled whenever I hear that believers are succumbing to the new doctrine of social distancing that has no root in the Bible. Jesus never socially distanced Himself from those suffering from leprosy which was the deadly contagious disease of the New Testament times. Rather Jesus laid hands on the lepers and cleansed the lepers (Mat 8:3). Likewise Jesus’ last words to the church before His ascension was that they should lay hands on the sick and the sick would recover. These are signs that are meant to follow every single believer and not just the Apostles and Pastors. Every believer is meant to narrow that social distancing and come close to lay hands on the patients of every sickness imaginable including corona virus. Sometimes I really wonder if believers read the Bible or not. It seems we have a bunch of physical adults in the church but dressed in spiritual diapers. Grow up and demonstrate the signs of laying hands on the sick!

9. Because Satan and his death vision that operates through sickness has been disarmed

Hebrews 2:14-15
(14)  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might DESTROY HIM THAT HAD THE POWER OF DEATH, that is, the devil;
(15)  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Jesus Christ was God but He took on flesh to die as a man. It was through His physical death that Jesus was able to destroy the devil who held the power of death. Jesus took the keys of hell and death away from the devil (Rev 1:18) and disarmed every principality of its capacity to harm the believer (Col 2:15). Sickness originates from the devil and can be defined as death in slow motion. If Jesus conquered death then by implication he also conquered sickness that satan uses to impart death.

There is a direct connection in Revelation 6 between the fourth horseman of the apocalypse who is the principality called Death and the release of the deadly pandemic of the “beasts of the earth” (Rev 6:8) which in the Greek is “therion” and can also imply microscopic disease causing organisms. During the tribulation a quarter of the world’s population, which currently would number 2 billion, will be killed with a pandemic released by the demon called Death. However before the rapture as believers we can exercise authority over Death and stomp it under our feet together with its motley crew of pandemic henchmen.

10. Because the name of Jesus is higher than any other name including Corona Virus

Philippians 2:9-11
(9)  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
(10)  That AT THE NAME OF JESUS EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
(11)  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

There are so many great men with sounding names in history including Julius Ceaser, Alexander, Napoleon and others. Likewise there are big sounding names in the medical sphere like AIDS, Diabetes, Sickle Cells, Cancer, Corona Virus and so many others. However there is a name which is above all these names and that is the name of Jesus. Every other name has to bow before this name because God Himself has exalted this name above every sickness, plague and pandemic. As believers we have delegated power through the name of Jesus Christ to thrust out demons and sicknesses including corona virus. Use the power that has been given to you in the name above all other names and stand tall in the midst of every pandemic storm. Apostle Simon Peter clearly stated that it was faith in the name of Jesus Christ that healed the lame man seated by the gate of the temple (Acts 3:16). You can use the name of Jesus Christ to destroy every corona virus germ today and walk in your God given dominion!

If you are not yet a born again Christian then these promises cannot be of benefit to you. First surrender your life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ (Rom 10:9-10) and you will be safe from every destructive element and bio-weapon that satan and his mad scientists may release upon the earth. If you already are a born again Christian then you should walk in the will of God and confess these scriptural promises over your life on a daily basis. Instead of becoming a fear monger by sharing messages of the devil’s power to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10), become a faith monger by sharing this publication with those around you so that they too can learn the 10 reasons why you and every born again Christian around the world has dominion over the Corona Virus!
